"I first found Tone F1tness as I was taking a postpartum run with my 9 month old son and German Shepard. Will gave me a tour of the facility and I was impressed with the top of the line bikes, clean and modern kids care facility, and a peaceful yoga studio. The tour had me convinced I wanted to be a part of what TONE F1TNESS had to offer. After struggling with some back pain from running and having a baby, my chiropractor suggested that I start strength training. After just weeks at TONE F1TNESS I no longer had the lingering pain and I could see visible muscle gains everywhere! My post-partum belly is shrinking daily as my six-pack takes place, which will be perfect timing for summer! I love the different classes offered and I take full advantage of them all. From TONE BOOTCAMP to GENTLE YOGA I get what I need for that day.
Before I made excuses NOT to go to the gym, now I make excuses TO GO to the gym. TONE K1DS CARE was the first child care my son experienced outside of family. They were so patient as my little guy went through his stage of separation anxiety and I truly appreciated their understanding and willingness to help. Roman, now 19 months old, loves going to K1DS CARE and always leaves with a smile after my workout. “I started coming to Tone F1tness a few months ago. While I use to go to group fitness classes and lift weights almost daily, I had not regularly worked out in a year. I let excuses get the best of me, and I hadn’t found anything that was exciting and fun to keep me going. After my first class I was hooked. I have never been to any fitness class like this. I had a hard time keeping up in my first boot camp class, so I knew I had to keep going. Now I have no trouble keeping up, and I push myself hard every class. It’s a great feeling to accomplish something you previously weren’t able to do! All of the instructors are amazing. They each have a unique way of teaching and pushing you. I honestly have a hard time choosing which class to take because they are all great. The community at Tone is wonderful too. Everyone is incredibly friendly and encouraging! "I’ve always been more MATHlete than Athlete and it’s never been my idea of a good time to go to a smelly gym and pick up heavy stuff or do hours of cardio by myself. I like results, but I’ve never had the creativity to design a routine that generates them because 1. I don’t know what works and 2. I always get bored or lonely and quit. And that is why Tone is a perfect fit for me because I don’t have to think. I show up to have fun and someone has the plan, it never gets boring, and I feel like part of a team. My favorite part, besides the results, is the community I feel at Tone. I love it when all of our lights turn red in R1DE and we’re all climbing together. I think in my head ‘Yay us!’ and I keep going because we’re a team doing this together, lighting the room red, it’s very motivating.
I am an engineer and tracking results and looking at data is my job; I cannot help but apply it to my activities. I like that there are so many metrics for progress in the R1DE class: mileage, speed, FTW numbers rising, and percentage red/yellow/green - there's a lot to keep me motivated and interested. Since coming to Tone almost a year ago, I have not seen big number changes on the scale, but I can celebrate many non-scale victories that don’t get as much focus sometimes, but should: my clothes fitting better, feeling pretty, definition in my arms, lowered heart rate and blood pressure, and improved cholesterol numbers. I’m also enjoying benefits outside of Tone in my other sports activities. My snowboarding is faster with less breaks and I’m never sore after from my increased core and quad strength. While SCUBA diving, my air consumption has decreased substantially, so I get more bottom time (yay!), because my cardiovascular fitness is so much better.

"I started going to TONE F1TNESS in April 2016, and since then I have never felt better. It is an awesome and very friendly place to work out. They offer many different classes, and all the trainers are AMAZING. The instructors have their own style, and even though I might be doing the same class; it feels different because each instructor gives their unique twist. I also love that each of them know what they are doing and they have helped me with my shoulder injury. Teaching me how to adjust movements and relax my body.
I can't say enough of how well they tailor to my needs. Tone not only has a great schedule, but they also have a safe and clean environment for my daughter to play while mommy is having fun."
"When my family and I decided that we were going to move to Beaverton from the Bay Area, one of the deciding factors was proximity to a fun and different gym. That is what I found at TONE! I have done every type of workout class you can think of: Crossfit, Kickboxing, group fitness at “other membership gyms”, I can even take it way back to Jazzercise Classes! Let’s just say I need the motivation from others in order to get that workout in. That is what I have received from TONE! When we moved here last August, my husband and I were driving around and checking out the Progress Ridge Area and decided we were going to have a beer at a local growlerie. I wanted to check out Tone first and luckily Heidi and William were there. After a tour and energetic explanation of what TONE was all about I was hooked! I signed up for my free class for the very next day and haven’t looked back since!
Whether it is RIDE with Jodie, Amelia or Hailey, Bootcamp with Kim or William, Box & Bootcamp with Nicole, Tone & Sculpt with Xochilt, Shari or Amelia, every workout is intense and amazing! You can also guarantee that I will be “woo hooing” at some point in the class (it’s a personal motivator to push myself and others to keep going). If I need to Zen out or Restore, I know that a class with Sydney or any of the other yoga instructors will do the trick. We can’t forget about the Thanksgiving 5K (I dressed as a turkey in a tutu), the Themed R1des (yes I wore a wig), and all the fun community events that TONE puts together.
After sitting at a desk in a high stress job for 3 years, moving to Oregon and joining TONE has changed my life and health in so many positive ways. 9 months later, not only have I lost 20 pounds but I have gained strength, a renewed confidence in myself and a wonderful community of friends and workout buddies.
Tone F1tness is now apart of my family because not only did my husband join but my daughter works in the Kid Cares and loves it! William, Jodie, Heidi and all the amazing & will never know how much they mean to me. They saved my life and for that I will always be a #ton1e!" -L
